Cristiano Ronaldo has praised Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal while cautioning fans against placing too much pressure on the 17-year-old phenom as he continues his development.

"He has tremendous talent, but we must allow him to grow at his own pace," Ronaldo implied when discussing the Spanish youngster.

Yamal has been making waves both domestically and internationally. The teenage sensation helped guide "Barcelona" to a La Liga title, contributing 9 goals and 13 assists across 35 matches. His international resume is equally impressive after helping Spain secure its fourth European Championship last year, where he earned the tournament's Young Player Award.

The young star recently continued his remarkable form by netting two goals in Spain's thrilling 5-4 victory over France in Thursday's UEFA Nations League semifinal. Not bad for someone who's barely old enough to drive, right?

Interestingly, Yamal's Spain will now face Ronaldo's Portugal in Sunday's Nations League final. The Portuguese advanced after Ronaldo himself scored the winner in their 2-1 triumph over Germany.

The much-anticipated final kicks off at 3 p.m. ET at Munich's Allianz Arena, where we'll see if the veteran or the wonderkid will lift the trophy. Can Yamal continue his meteoric rise against one of the greatest to ever play the game?
