Jobe Bellingham has officially signed with Borussia Dortmund, following weeks of negotiations. The 19-year-old midfielder, brother of former Dortmund star and current Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham, joins the German club from Sunderland in a deal worth €33 million plus €5 million in variables.

"I'm delighted to join Dortmund and fight for titles with this great club. I want to contribute and will work day by day to achieve this," Bellingham said upon signing his five-year contract that runs until June 2030.

The young Englishman arrives at Signal Iduna Park after helping Sunderland secure promotion to the Premier League this season. Interestingly, he'll be stepping onto the same pitch where his older brother made his name before securing a move to Madrid.

Dortmund's sporting director Sebastian Kehl expressed satisfaction with the signing: "We've known Jobe for many years and, of course, have followed his development very closely. He took another big step forward last year and, at just 19, has established himself as an absolute leader."

Bellingham will make his debut as a Dortmund player in the upcoming Club World Cup. A fresh start for both the player and the club. Can the younger Bellingham replicate his brother's impact at the German giants? Dortmund certainly seems to think so, given the substantial investment they've made in the teenager.
