Bruninho has completed a permanent transfer to "Karpaty" Lviv after the Ukrainian club activated a purchase option for the 25-year-old attacking midfielder. The Brazilian playmaker, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan with the Lviv outfit, has now officially cut ties with his parent club "Atletico Mineiro".
"The deal has been finalized with 'Karpaty' paying approximately 800,000 euros for the player's services," – reported journalist Fred Augusto, who broke the news about the completed transfer.
The decision to sign Bruninho permanently comes as no surprise. The midfielder emerged as one of the standout performers not just for "Karpaty" but in the entire Ukrainian Premier League last season. His productivity speaks for itself – 8 goals and 3 assists across 24 league appearances, giving him 11 direct goal contributions.
Interestingly, Augusto mentioned that while Bruninho performed well in what he described as a "weak Ukrainian league," the player wasn't part of "Atletico Mineiro's" future plans anyway. This created the perfect opportunity for "Karpaty" to secure his services permanently.
The Brazilian attacker has clearly found his rhythm in Lviv. Can he continue his impressive form now that he's officially donning the green and white colors on a permanent basis? The upcoming season will give us that answer.
