Aleix Garcia has cast doubt on the suitability of Angelo Stiller as a potential signing for "Real Madrid." The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder shared his skeptical views about the Stuttgart player who has been linked with the Spanish giants for several weeks.

"I know that Madrid is talking about him, but honestly I think there are better options than him for this position," – Garcia told 'As' in a recent interview.

The 27-year-old Catalan player, formerly of "Girona," didn't completely dismiss Stiller's abilities. He acknowledged the German international's strengths while suggesting that the 24-year-old Munich native might not be what "Real Madrid" needs right now.

"He's good. I haven't analyzed him in detail, but with Stuttgart's style of play, the midfielders touch the ball a lot and he's quite precise with his passes, especially the short ones," – Garcia explained.

Interestingly, Garcia believes that "Real Madrid" should be looking for someone more in the mold of Toni Kroos, whose departure has left a noticeable gap in the midfield. The German maestro's absence has been felt throughout the season according to the Leverkusen player.

"Without doubt they need someone like Kroos. He has been absent this season and his absence has been very noticeable," – added the Leverkusen midfielder.

The comments come as "Real Madrid" continues their search for midfield reinforcements. Stiller's name has been circulating for almost months now. Will the Spanish giants heed Garcia's assessment or pursue the Stuttgart midfielder anyway? The summer transfer window might give us answers.
