Andriy Shakhov has firmly denied recent rumors linking Brazilian forward Bruninho with a move to "Dynamo" Kyiv. The media department director of the capital club set the record straight regarding the speculation that has been circulating in Ukrainian media outlets.
"'Dynamo' isn't exactly uninterested in Bruninho, but he simply isn't on our shortlist of potential reinforcements. The rumors connecting him with our club are untrue," – Shakhov stated.
The Brazilian attacker in question currently plays for "Karpaty" Lviv, having joined the club in September last year. His statistics are quite solid, actually. Bruninho has made 25 appearances across all competitions, finding the net eight times and providing three assists for his teammates.
Interestingly, despite these respectable numbers, "Dynamo" doesn't appear to be pursuing the Brazilian's signature – at least not at the moment. Is this just smoke and mirrors from the Kyiv club's management? Or are they genuinely looking elsewhere for offensive reinforcements?
For now, it seems the 'Bruninho to Dynamo' transfer saga has been put to rest before it even properly began.
