Aleix Garcia has publicly questioned whether Angelo Stiller is the right midfield reinforcement for "Real Madrid". The 27-year-old Bayer Leverkusen midfielder didn't hold back when discussing the Stuttgart star who's been linked with the Spanish giants for several weeks.

"I know that Madrid is talking about him, but honestly I think there are better options than him for this position," Garcia told 'As' in a recent interview.

The Catalan midfielder, formerly of "Girona", acknowledged Stiller's technical abilities but suggested the 24-year-old Munich native might not be what "Real Madrid" needs right now in their midfield.

"He's good. I haven't analyzed him in detail, but with Stuttgart's style of play, the midfielders touch the ball a lot and he's quite precise with his passes, especially the short ones," Garcia explained.

Interestingly, Garcia believes the bigger issue at the Bernabeu is finding someone to fill the void left by Toni Kroos. "Without doubt they need someone like Kroos. He's been absent this season and his absence has been very noticeable," he added.

Stiller's name has been circulating in transfer rumors for almost months now, surprising many observers - Garcia evidently among them. The Stuttgart midfielder has apparently caught the attention of "Real Madrid's" recruitment team, but is he really the profile they need? Garcia clearly doesn't think so.
