Roma's owners have officially announced the gradual return of the club's historic logo as part of their end-of-season communication. The Italian side will complete the transition to their traditional emblem by 2027, coinciding with "Roma's" 100th anniversary.
"We are planning this change to honor our heritage and history," the ownership stated in their message to supporters.
Beyond the logo announcement, the club leadership also revealed their intention to build a new stadium for "Roma" in the coming years - a significant infrastructure development for the capital city team.
The timing is interesting, as the club just finished fifth in the 2024/25 Serie A season, collecting 69 points across their 38 matches. Not bad, considering the competitive nature of Italian football these days.
Meanwhile, Gian Piero Gasperini, recently appointed as head coach, already has transfer plans in motion according to reports. The experienced manager will be looking to strengthen the squad ahead of next season.
The club shared these developments through their official social media channels with a post titled "End of season message from the Ownership."
Will these changes mark the beginning of a new successful era for the Giallorossi? The centenary in 2027 could be the perfect milestone to showcase both their respect for tradition and their vision for the future.
