Denis Klevzunyk has signed a contract extension with "Kyiv-Basket" for the upcoming season. The 24-year-old defender was one of the standouts not just for his team, but across the entire Ukrainian Superleague last season.
The numbers tell the story. Klevzunyk appeared in 36 games for "Kyiv-Basket," posting impressive averages of 14.7 points per game, which ranked him fifth in league scoring. His rebounding was even more notable – pulling down 7.1 boards per contest, good for fourth best in the Superleague.
"I'm looking forward to building on what we started last season," the young defender might say after securing his future with the club.
His all-around game also featured 1.3 assists and 1 steal per match, making him one of the most complete players in Ukrainian basketball.
Worth mentioning is Klevzunyk's clutch performance during the championship series against "Dnipro." He led "Kyiv-Basket" in scoring in two of the three final games, proving his value when the stakes were highest.
