Denys Klevzunyk has renewed his contract with "Kyiv-Basket" for the upcoming season, securing his place on the roster after an impressive performance last year.

The 24-year-old defender established himself as one of the standouts not only for his team but throughout the Ukrainian Superleague during the previous campaign.

"I'm looking forward to building on what we achieved last season," the young talent might be thinking after putting pen to paper on his new deal.

Klevzunyk's statistics speak volumes about his value to the team. In 36 appearances for "Kyiv-Basket," he averaged 14.7 points per game (ranking fifth in the Superleague), pulled down 7.1 rebounds (fourth-best in the league), while adding 1.3 assists and 1 steal per game.

Particularly noteworthy was his clutch performance when it mattered most. During the final series against "Dnipro," he emerged as "Kyiv-Basket's" top scorer in two of the three games. That's quite a statement from a player still developing his potential!

By the way, this positive news comes amid reports that another "Kyiv-Basket" player has opted to join a First League club instead of staying with the team.

With Klevzunyk locked in for another season, can "Kyiv-Basket" make another strong championship run? His consistent scoring and rebounding certainly give them a solid foundation to build upon.
